Maybe you think that it's only fair to share the truth, and you may be right - but first you have to figure out if the timing is also appropriate. If it isn't, then it would not be wrong to put it off for a little while longer. Sometimes certain kinds of news may not resonate at the wrong time but could be very well-received when shared at the right time. Wouldn't that be a lot easier?
