You know that people make mistakes and that if they apologize and/or they try to do the right thing to make amends, they deserve to be forgiven. Most of all, forgiveness sets you free. Yet you sometimes have a problem with forgiving yourself! You may be having a hard time letting go of a mistake you made or a lapse of judgment that you feel bad about. Extend that same forgiveness to yourself. You do deserve it. The effect will be double since you are both the forgiver and the forgiven.
