First, they may not understand the situation completely, or they may not understand why it affects you the way it does, since they would not be affected in the same way by the same things. It could also be that a person has a hard time showing emotion, even when they feel it. If you've experienced this recently, don't jump to conclusions. Not every caring heart reacts in the same way.
